...another man's treasure

These first two photos don't apply to the title of the post. I just saw them and had to put them up!

Okay so I have made some great finds lately and I just felt like blogging about them! I'll start with this awesome piece of furniture I found on Craigslist.com.
It was only $40! AND, when we went to pick it up it ended up being a very nice LDS family who was needing to sell it because they were moving out of state. The wife's father had made the hutch himself.
It is a great piece of furniture and a dream for me! I'm always trying to figure out more ways to store and organize. This was the perfect solution to our computer space problems. I even have some storage room left over! Warms my heart just thinking about it.
I just have to say that we couldn't have gone and gotten it, let alone brought it upstairs into our apartment without the help of all of the men in the family. Thank you guys! And thank you Grandpa Call for letting us borrow your truck!

Saturday morning Mercedes and I decided to go drive around and go look for garage sales just for fun. Here are a couple of things I found!
Two crown molding shelves. I've wanted some like these for quite some time, and there at a garage sale I got two for $2! Here one of them hangs in our living room. (I also got that plaster looking pear on the right side of the shelf for $ .50. I have a passion for pears right now).
The second shelf hangs in Mercedes' room over her changing table.
That's it for my special finds, but I did find last week that I could make some celebration flags with some material I had.
I hung them up when I finished them just to see how they looked, but I haven't wanted to take them down!
I will probably take them down soon however, I want to keep them exciting for special occasions.

Thanks for reading. :) Have a great day!
